Would it be possible to get a "set notedates off" option for those of us who
don't want the date cluttering up (and forcing notes to go multiline) our
notepads?

Umm, i made a small change to it. 'note notetag' will add notetag to your
notebook. 'note -d notetag' will add 'notetag [date]' to your notebook. I
guess that would be handier.
