Hi again!
Wear&tear REALLY should not affect items, only weapons and armours.
Why?
1) Items rarely get names on them ("buy purse" -> no name)
2) Items can't be claimed
3) Items generally are just convenience stuff, purses, shovels, etc
4) It's fucking annoying to repair stuff that doesn't even have cond
when you look at them (try looking at purses)
