Yes, I agree that you shouldn't replace it without deep thought
and considerations.
No, I don't think this is perfect, and shouldn't ever be questioned,
I still feel this to be a kludge to prevent raping. (And, what
is so bad at selling stuff on sales, reincs cost up to 1.9m
money, which is ALOT of money to make just killing at drawbridge).

Small tidbit from my personal history. Year is around 2000-2001 or so.
I got an eq-party, killed Rechendak, the elementalist for the first
time ever (and some other mobs, then dice). Then, within 2 weeks
I killed Rechendak 2 more times, for a total of 3. Within 2 weeks.

Now, how about my current situation, 4-5 years later, I'm still
totalling at four (4) rechie kills, and all I have is the gaunts.

Some more suggestions, to be considered, maybe combined.
second kill longer prot, or so.
to kill (In this case, maybe even the one with prot wouldn't get the
name on the items).
