Could the darkness and light spells be tuned to have equal amount of time,
light seems to last for 8hours where as darkness some 30mins or someshit.

Your "30 minutes" was actually one and a half hours, that's not quite the
same. Light on the other hand lasts five times longer. Please, if you're going
to ask for a fix on something, take the time to write in the actual values,
not something that looks unbalanced.
