Could the society party scheduler be changed so that people can't join
directly to a certain slot in the party. Instead they would be put to a list
from where the leader could assign them to the slots. It would be much more
useful this way, as the leaders could choose the best combination of available
players to the party.

For example, this would allow the leader to take backrow bard only if there
are none available to front (or vice versa), or prioritize aoh tank over
barbranger but still allow the barbranger to join if there are no better
options available.

The current system was ok when eq parties always consisted of barddef, 2
random defs, 2 tarmas, 2 mages and 2 random blasters. But nowadays there are
more options as bardfolks can take a backrow healer/blaster slot too and there
are a lot more different tank reincs available.

I am currently forced to use an old ss web party scheduler so the change would
be much appreciated. Mudders seem to hate using modern technology like web
browsers.

I posted this idea about ss party scheduler a year ago and it seems nothing
was done to it. The party scheduler still sucks. You can use it only on those
mobs where you can have those level 50 rangers fill up the def slots.

So could it please be changed so that the signed up people are assigned to a
slot by the creator/leader of the party instead of being automatically
assigned. That would make gathering people for eq parties so much less
painful.
