I don't think christmas glow items should be permanent as they are, given
they're usually at or near best in class, but they could become flawed
versions of their eq instead of going poof when their time is up.

I strongly disagree. Most of them would become next to useless if they had
half+ stats, and then there are some special eqs like alex sleeves that would
be TOO powerful then (given that the special still would work, dunno if it
would).

What I'd suggest is that the pool of xmas glow items (and others too for that
matter) could be much bigger. Perhaps have a chance to get ANY stat item with
xmas glow. Of course, like someone pointed out, this would make it much more
difficult to get items like reinc pendant and youth vials that 95% of people
are looking for from presents, but I riposte by saying that it's boring that
those two items are the only ones that majority of people want from presents
anyway. Besides, reinc pendant is already a gettable item nowadays.
