Heyas, Maybe batmud could start tweeting about events and special occasions.
By events I mean like clones or prosperity, whatnot. Then people could decide
to subscribe ( follow? damn twitterspeficic jargon) if they want the
notifications. Inform messages could also be tweeted.

The idea is that if people might be inclined to log in if something special
happens. Or if for instance an arch decides to sell some unique item on sales,
those not online could get a notification on their mobile device of choice for
instance.

There is a rest api available and I'm sure it could be built within batmud so
events can be autotweeted and arches can tweet with a mud command interface.

Could some of the people that down voted this please replay and explain to me
why it's a bad idea? I'm not being snarky, I'd just truly like to see what
other people's perspective is on this.

Personally, I don't see how this couldn't be a good thing, disregarding
implementation and upkeep. Anything that improves number of players online at
any given time should definitely rank on the list of Bat's priorities.

I can only come up with that people wouldn't want this because of the selective
competition it would create, which is too personal and greedy a reason to be
against its implementation.
