friends shows [P] for single-person parties too. How about either a) showing it
as [p], or not as party at all? I am mostly curious if my friends are open for
partying, and that [P] leads to pwho use that is .. spurious.

(Ok, fine, I do not really have friends but I like to pretend.)

While not exactly the requested thing, you can already do this via the
following mystical incantation:

who short noparty friends *

(Do note the asterisk "*" on the end, it's needed for "friends" option to
check all your friend lists.)
