I would like to convert my old/unused/lame/weak guards into credits at my local
trainer so i can rebuild bigger and better guards!

I would also like to be able to deposit/transfer gold to the trainer so that i
can gradually build up cash/credits at the trainer in order to save up for some
more heavy duty guards.

Obviously i wouldn't expect the withdraw the credits/gold in currency form.
