Here is what you can expect:

The main goal of the event is to pit all the good_religious players against
the evil_religious players. Each team will have a temple, a "base" if you
will. Each side will want to get pkills of the opposing members, building up
"rep" for their side, while protecting their base from the attacks of the
other side. Breaking into the opposing base allows you to lower their "rep".
At the end of 24 hours, whichever side has the most "rep" wins.

What about players who are not good or evil religious?
-- Such players will be allowed to sign up for one side or the other. They
won't contribute as much rep, but at the same time, they won't be worth as
much when pkilled, either.

Won't highbies just relentlessly murder lower-level players?
-- It's possible, but they won't get much "rep" for it. Like Blood Bath,
killing a lower-level player isn't worth nearly as much in terms of rewards.
In fact, drastically one-sided battles (Glaurung vs. Guest-28) no rewards will
be higher-level player at all, while the weaker player, if they score a
victory (somehow) will contribute a fortune's worth of rep to their side. It
won't be worth the risk.

What about those of us who don't like pkilling?
-- Fear not. If you kill a monster that _should_ be on the opposing side (good
players killing evil demons, for example) you'll have the chance of finding
items that will either reinforce your base, or weaken the opposing one. In
fact, it will be very hard to win the event without these items, so some
area-running will be mandatory.

Won't all this pkilling cost massive repair bills, and make all of us die of
old age?
-- No. For this day, deaths at the hands of opposing enemies (monsters or
players) will result in Blood Bath-style lossless prays, and all eq damage
will be turned off. Some players might have some toys left in their arsenal to
damage, steal, or destroy others' eq. I hope they will realize that come Sept
14th, when the game returns to normal, their actions will be remembered, and
those affected will respond accordingly.

Can we switch sides mid-event?
-- If you want to reinc in the middle of a mud-wide brawl, be my guest.

Can't we just take advantage of the lossless prays and no-eq-damage to kill
some of those big bad eq monsters out there?
-- You're welcome to try. But during the Alignmayhem event, good_religious
players and evil_religious players won't be allowed to party together. That
will make some types of parties very difficult.

Will there be further information?
-- Yes.
