Actually, by forcing people to make a choice if they have no preference
whatsoever, only causes your entire test being totally wrong...

I beg to differ. Often it's good to have that neutral choise, that yields no
information, as there are often questions the person answering has no
knowledge/opinion/experience on.
Forcing everybody to make a choise between options that make no sense will
make them choose at random. This results in, instead of no data, false data.
Which is not good.
Example: Statement: In icehockey, it's more entertaining to watch games of
world cup rather than NHL or similar. Choises: Strongly agree, agree,
disagree, strongly disagree. Now, to a person who does not watch hockey, nor
other sports, this makes no sense.
So if you make tests, do it with as many choises as you like. It'll give
faulty results anyway.
