And what about feedback? Whines are feedback. It's up to the coders to make
something constructive of them, or shrug them off as pointless. So far we see
a tune that is disliked by most in its present state. And unless you can say
something constructive (positive OR negative) about that issue, maybe it's
time to lay off the arrogant 'stupid newbie' shit?

Jacen actually got a point there. Feedback needs to be constructive. And the
amount of whines is no feedback. You've been here long enough as well to know
that BatMUD community is very conservative. Every new change will be whined
upon, even if it's a clear uptune. And hey, game doesn't consist of total
uptunes. Sometimes downtunes are in order as well, no? You don't have to agree
with every downtune, but you can learn to live with them.

Uptunes get whines from a certain number of unnamed "boonbaby" individuals.
Every single time. I recommend taking note of the fact, before you say 'even
if it's a clear uptune'. And what's your point exactly? That there should be
no complaints when a bad tune is implemented? If what you want is a 'free
field' to tune as you like with no regard for the players, then you're
correct. But somehow I doubt that's what you really want :) I think in the
many posts we've already got you can see many good reasons for why and how
this tune isn't balanced. Downtunes to the battlesystem are in order when
there's a significant problem in it. Is there? It has worked fine for many
years. And if we really need something new to be coded in, maybe the tune
needs to be thought out more? I mean, it's not like wizards are coding for the
first time, you know what issues might arise. Just my two cents (perhaps
unneeded).
