It was removed because players could use it to see whatever wizard had coded
an item. This resulted in massive abuses and several expbutton effects being
exploited, and also directly resulted in the death of the sales channel
because suddenly everyone knew how to make every eq item.

Well, not really. A handful of players may have used that aspect to solve a
few syntaxes in areas with stupidly annoying quests, but that's probably the
extent of it. I mean, you have to know the game pretty damn well to be able to
figure stuff out that way. Anway, now such people just get walkthroughs from
their friends, and everyone else watches their bug reports sink into oblivion.

Oh well, Bat's definitely taking many steps forward for each step back, so I'm
not THAT bitter.
