Let's all recognize the fact that floating != swimming or even less water
walking.
So, why not make ents float. And get washed in random directions with the
water.

That's cuz rotting process generates gas.
Come on people.... humans carry also a lot of oxygen within their blood....
while alive humans float when dead.. blood kind a "frozes".. they sink for a
while then up again cause of gasses decompose creates within the remaining
body.....

Well, I sink like a rock even if I keep my breath, but then my BMI is normally
between 20-21 and only way to get it higher is to pump iron for a few months.
I guess fat people float around juuust fine, though.

BBS MOST humans float w/air in their lungs. I do not, and I doubt i'm a
singularity.
I think it also has something to do with the salt content
of the water. Try drowning yourself in the black sea, its
much more difficult than in a pool full of chlorine.
