Should stuff like this really be visible when we're logging in?
Once you've connected to the server, even before actually logging in, you're
considered a user by the game driver. Certain functions return all users, even
those not really in the game yet. That is why you can experience the great
game that is Batmud even at the 'coat room'. Amazing isn't it.

So it's a feature.
