Is there a wizard consistently online and around at this time of day, that has
access or could temporarily be given access to monitor the CPU situation. I
think it was Gore said it\'s hard to diagnose since it doesn\'t happen when
he\'s around. Or get some CPU logging software to monitor these lagbursts and
record server process levels and memory/pagefile usage at the time of the
spike?

This is simply because all us lowly wizlings are sharing duties of the
gamedriver during daytime to keep the lag low. When we sleep at night, the
poor gamedriver must work alone and as it tends to be rather obnoxious person,
and frankly an ignorant asshole he takes it a bit personal and refuses to do
even the simple tasks but only the tasks he finds fun... (I'm talking monster
star crits and giving YOU a "... rolls: 1" here) and when given some boring
tasks, it just lags.
