There's a difference between trying to end the violence and crimes
against humanity, and torturing defenseless animals for fucking fun.
It's so hilarious that when some jerk posts a "funny" clip of some
poor creature being skinned alive and emphatic people stand against
it, some dude always starts calling them idiots and hippies.
Dictators and tyrants are no laughing matter, and the things that
have happened to some people are unforgivable - but for fcks sake
if I get angry because people post torture videos for ENTERTAINMENT,

1) Clicking links in bat news is not safe if you don't know the guy who posted
the link. Actually, it's probably not safe even if you knew the guy.
2) If you chose to click on the link in the first place and didn't like the
page that came up, whining for "justice" for posting distasteful material does
not work. News ignore does.

those atrocities, which I don't. My target here was more to the people who
spread those links and advertise them. If there is no audience, there is
less need for those kind of videos. And this might lead to something good
someday.

animals have little to no chance against humans.
Should we only be worried about the most horrible crime or all horrible crimes?
I choose to make a stand against any inhumane behaviour.
And I do think that giving links to unethical and highly distasteful material
should be (news)banned, had *he/she/it* warned about the link or not. And
actually I do think that viewing this kind of material may not make you a bad
person, but it shows that there is something wrong with the person already. As
it more or less shows that person actively seeks such material and is
fascinated by it. (This all if he is not actually trying to make a stand and
promote animal rights.)
And sleep tight, I am going to eat beef medium rare still. There is a
difference.
Freedom of speech? Yeah, right.
Btw, no atrocity should go unpunished. Crimes that show total disrespect to any
living being and its suffering should be punished accordingly (I would vote
death sentence but as it is not an option in most democracies I settle with
the common life sentence).

The Internet is full of crap. There are snuff videos, there are midgetporn,
there are "animal violence" videos. Either someone has kept their head in
the sand for way too long, or they are just playing holier-than-thou when
they suddenly start whining and claiming that people are evil who just
happen to see a videoclip.
Unless the material is illegal, it would be retarded for us to waste our
time to (news)ban someone who posts a URL to a videoclip, especially since
it came with a warning about what it contains.

P.s. I have not seen the video in question. I read the newspost and based
on it, I already knew I didn't want to see it. It doesn't require
that many braincells to make an independant decision whether or not
to click on a link in a bs-post, especially when the post says what
the URL is about.

purely informative and are meant to wake up people. Some might even take
action on improving the conditions on the animals. There are also other ways
than vegetarism. Using only meat from animals that are raised on natural
conditions is one way. It may cost a bit more, but then its only decision to
make by yourselves. What comes to the cat on acid video, drug testing has been
done with humans too.
If you can't take it, don't watch it.
