I find it interesting and slightly amusing, following the conversations and
comments on channels and news. Some people start complaining from the get go,
even though they haven't moved a single step. Some take two steps and complain
that they can't do everything the way they've always done it. A select few
actually try things out and suggest valid improvements to the whole thing.

Why is change so damn difficult to handle? People whine that the game is
stagnating, that there isn't anything happeing here and that it's just a bunch
of oldbies running their routes to Osenseida and the Drawbridge. Now that the
game has changed, people complain about having to change their routines. This
isn't a tune folks. It's a change. If you wanna have your monotonous routines,
stick to NetHack 1.0. It's in the nature of this mud to change and evolve.
Playercities was the last big (similar) change I can recall. Now we have
something different again. A new aspect to play around with. Embrace the
possibilities. Consider it a global rebirth. Where's your spirit of adventure
and curiosity?
