RL generally sucks in there, and so does in so many other places
so that virtual realities are simply a better choice to spend your
time.
And in some places the laws and 'nursing' of the general people
have gone so far, people simply dont want to participate the
general public. Instead they make their own.

So, I really find that no surprising at all.
