(for those who don\'t know, the government of Estonia has exhumed and removed
the remains of Estonian and Russian veterans of WW2 together with the memorial
in Tallinn, because \"for Estonia the victory meant occupation\";
likewise, Estonia has rehabilitated former members of Estonian SS, responsible
for thousands of civilian murders in concentration camps)

Anyway, ran across this funny piece:

21st century Estonian Dictionary

** Archaeology - 1. a science dealing with opening of graves and exhumation;
2. a science compulsory in all Estonian colleges
** EU - the new big brother of Estonia
** Exhumation - an old national pastime; an expression of Estonian culture
** Grave - a very attractive place for an Estonian (it\'s an absolute must to
open one, look at what\'s inside and then re-bury it someplace else; all
Estonian children like to play \"graves\", a favourite children\'s
game)
** Gravedigger - the honorary title of a freedom fighter
** Hitler - the most respected citizen of Tallinn; the Nr.1 Estonian of all
times (also a favourite in children\'s tales, akin to Santa Claus)
** Kremlin - a scary one-handed evil monster from Estonian mythology
** Occupation - a favourite theme for discussions (nobody knows what it is,
but any Estonian can easily prove there was one)
** Marsch SS - 1. children\'s game; 2. a health trip for Estonian retirees
** Nazism - the bright future of all Estonian humankind
** MEDVED - a fearsome war beast tamed by eastern barbarians; many Estonians
prefer not to believe MEDVED exists
** Prostitution - an inherent ability of an Estonian politician
** Red - the most irritating colour for an Estonian, forbidden in colloquial
use (instead, use the term \'decommunized\' - \"Could you pass me some
decommunized wine, please?\")
** Russians - the root of all Evil and the cause of all the misfortunes of the
Estonian nation; a synonym for Satan
** Shovel - together with skull and crossbones, the symbol of contemporary
Estonian independence
** Sprats - a strategical product of Estonian economy; a cultural food eaten
by Estonians
** Transfer (of a monument) - the process of sawing something at the base
** USSR - a synonym for Hell; many Estonians believe that sinners go to (USSR)
after death, where Russian communists torture them with GULAG\'s and heavy
balalaikas
** Veterans - bad people whom the Estonian government puts in jail
** Veterans SS - good people, the model citizens of Estonia
** Waffen SS - a humanitarian charity organization

Jesus, since the hitler card was already played, here's another view:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Stalin
I suppose this belongs more in bs than politics group. While I understand that
one should respect the dead and so, what's happening in estonia and moscow is
plain bullshit.
Helps confirm the views of a friend in Moscow though, "Check out the red stars
above all the buildings. Goes to show, nothing has changed apart from the name
of the state."

Quite interesting. Likening Stalin to Hitler is just the card that the
Russia-haters like to use. Without knowing any facts. All the figures of
'GULAG deaths' are taken from one major source - Mr. Solzhenitsyn. And that is
a dubious source at best. FYI, Stalin never had a policy of racial supremacy
or destruction of other peoples. That's just for starters. If you research
more, you'll find out many new things for yourself perhaps. And by the way, it
seems the red colour irritates others than Estonians too :)

And finally (not to return to this again), these are not just any dead. These
are Heroes, that helped rid the world of Nazi scum. But I can clearly see that
contemporary generations prefer to forget the past, to allow the rewriting of
history. Very well. There is no way to stop it, until another Hitler comes and
history repeats itself. Sad, but true.
