I have my own thoughts on multiple events and the situation that happened.

Overall, though, it really makes me happy to stand back and realize that there
still are so many people who actually give a shit about this game and want to
see it not only be around, but succeed and attract new people. I agree with
what other posters have said that there's a wealthy of content and
entertainment available here for people who are interested.

The biggest resource in this game is the players. This isn't an epiphany, I
know. It, too, has been pointed out countless times before. I am making the
point to remind those who have the control and power how serious and concerned
the community around this game are. It is the reason I have kept coming back
since I was 18. I am 30 now and, honestly, look forward to the possibility of
introducing the game to even my son or daughter down the road, and I don't
even *have* kids right now.

One other final comment related to game difficulty in general:
I think all of us need to be reminded how alien this environment (that being a
text-based, syntax specific, etc.) is to young, new players. The great thing
is, many of them who find the game WANT the challenge it offers. But we need
to be keenly aware of how much our years (decades?) of experience in text-only
environments has clouded our perceptions of someone who has literally grown up
with a gamepad and a mouse to play games. That said, I am REALLY liking what
the batclient is turning into. Even I am using it now and again for certain
things for which it is just easier. I look forward to see where that project
goes.
