Reavers could be compared to Monks or Templars and then make your points. Doing
an apples to oranges comparision and saying SEE really shows nothing.
Hmm, monks get no spells, reavers must be tuned accordingly, remove all spells
from them too, eh?
I do think it's a valid point that reavers, being mostly tanks, can outpower a
pure spellcaster in damage.
Even if they lack the damagetypes, it's still a wee bit odd, I'd think.
