First, they weren't mexicans, they were just getting to mexico. Also,
I'll take full hour of the "mexicans" over the flying teenager.
Though, I have to say, I haven't seen an episode without them,
I've had the last episode waiting for almost a week, haven't really
bothered to watch it due the utter suckyness of the second season.

The first season started somewhat slow, but at least it was
interesting, with the character introductions and novelty thingies,
now it's just plain boring. And with the writer strike going I
kind of doubt they'll manage to get things rolling in time before
scripts run out and a cancellation hits.

I suspect my further Heroes exp will be watching most of season 1
again, just skipping the last episode or so and just imagine
the series ends properly right there.
