You can hardly blame us for not reporting differences between races.
Personally, I like the flavor and impact of starvation and dehydration. I
would just make the effects slower by 2-5x instead of removing them.

While you're on the whole food and drink kick, please look at bug 14125.
Juggelo hasn't shown any interest in it. Who knows, maybe it affects other
races too.
