What I've always done in mudclients (tf, and mcl at least) was to write a
function called "tomud". The tomud function handled prefixing the command with
an @, etc. That way, if something needed to be applied to mud commands in the
future, I could perhaps make a change to it in the tomud function. Also, it
prevented me from needing to remember to put that @ in front of each trigger
action .
