Nightlife+ is an open ss that allows anyone in who wants to join. While we
tend to focus on the higher level stuffs, there are opportunitys for low lvl
and midrange partys too. About 2 or 3 months ago ( before he removed himself
+ got a restore) I asked drum/nomed to join nl+ and he told me no :(

Hi,

Doing eq is primarily about planning, and knowing your stuff.
Granted, having great eq helps, but it is in no way required for vast
majority of the mobs out there. Here's a little story of a couple of
us doing eq way back.

This was in the old 6-man times, there were no 9-man parties
available. Power levels were lower than today, but our party
composition was still pretty laughable when looking at individuals: I
was level 75 conjumage, the highbie of the party. We had a tarmalen
with something like 5-15 druid levels. We had a nun with something
like 10-20 tarmalen levels. We had a priest with a few spiders, and we
had 2 crimsons, levels 50 and err, 60-70.

People were mocking at us when we entered the flying citadeld, but we
did manage to kill Skie in the 6 hours the game managed to stay stable
before crashing. Had the game not crashed, I'm confident Soth would
have fallen too. Still, 5 of 6 practically single-guild members, with
gear mostly to match the level. But! We did plan our reincs, and had
acquired appropriate gear for the reincs.

So no, you really do not need top gear for most of the mobs,
it just might take a bit more time. And that kind of effort,
it is both doable and fun. As somebody who later went on leading
most of the eq mobs of the mud, I still warmly remember that one
underdog party.
