My view on Windows 7 is the same as my view of the Ps3, the iPhone, electric
cars, and robot puppies:

I will wait to purchase any brand-new sparkly technology until the first wave
of technophiles have given them a good solid testing. Windows 7 _will_ have
startup issues, bugs, errors and crashes at first. Maybe these problems will
be quickly resolved, maybe they won't. But I'm not replacing my entire
computer until I know how it's going to behave.

Your example kinda works the other way around in batmud. One pretty much
should rush in to a new guild/area as soon as possible to be able to
abu...notice and explo...report the bugs/features of fresh code. As soon as
the fast ones have been able to enjoy the fruits of well, being fastest and
the first ones to do stuff, there is only the rather boring and balanced stuff
left for rest of us to discover.

I've had Windows 7 RC1 since April or so...I never had any problems until
October 22 when I got the public release patches and rebooted at midnight.
Bluescreened twice that day and problems daily since. :/
