Some comments about races I absolutely disagree with you. No way meaning
any racetunes, just my observations from my reincaholic days.
Really? I was vampire for one reinc, all the others were thrikhren because
it is just that much better. More hp (with super char and tiny conboon),
better regen, better stats, lifespan is different though.
Yes, demon is in my opinion almost as good as ent, better in some
regards and worse in others. Good choise overall, and one of the few
1-2 rebirth races that was actually almost as good as non-rebirth race
for a combo, thus I made my habotanks half/half demon/ent. And, as a
final note I'll share some other possible habotank races, I know the
list is short you might be right about demon. Anyway: demon, ent,
human, lich, catfolk, wolfman, centaur, barsoomian, doppelganger,
gnoll, tinmen, zombie. And of course many other races work too.
Sure, they have drawbacks. Lots of them. But they still hit harder than
any other race, and getting those nice crits is just so much fun sometimes.
Maybe the exprates could use an update, but not all races are equal...
I'm not sure if leech was ever ment as a serious race, but I did reinc
to leech twice, which is more than I can say about many other races...
It is still my favourite hybrid-race. Awesome wis -> awesome spmax.
Big size translates to decent melee damage and hit points, crappy dex
of course sucks. The slow meta during winter can be a bit annoying,
sure, but it's not _that_ bad. Irritating sure, but I can't think of a
single eq-mob I tanked with ent priest where I didn't run out of sps
faster than the backrow dudes. Yes, it has plenty of annoyances, but
without trolls/vampires there would be no stopping them (and see my
vampire comment !
