4/20 is also known as Earth Day, a holiday with a questionable relationship
with maijuana. Let me make this clear: the Administration of BatMUD does not,
in any way, endorse the use or consumption of marijuana in any way.

We also do NOT wish to stress that the most prominent chemical in marijuana,
THC, acts on chemical nerve receptors in the brain in a manner similar to
anandamide, a chemical found naturally in the human brain but also extensively
in chocolate. See, anandamide acts on specific areas of the brain as a
simulant, but the chemical breaks down quickly. Chocolate, in particular dark
chocolate, contains more anandamide than just about any other food, but the
pleasurable effect is short-lived. Using a quantity of dark chocolate would,
however, enhance and prolong the effect of more powerful effects like THC,
which the Administration of BatMUD does not in any way endorse.

It is also worth warning you that both THC and anandamide are fat-soluable,
meaning they incorporate well into oily or fatty liquids. This is why the
famous "pot brownies" are NOT made by putting marijuana into melted butter and
simmering it, which absorbs the majority of the THC into the butter. Nor does
the Administration wish to stress that you can do the same thing with whole
milk, half and half, or cream, which has been mixed with equal quantities of
shaved dark chocolate (by volume), to make a steaming hot drink that is as
much fun to smell as it is to taste.

Finally, the Administration wants to warn you that some side-effects of THC,
such as increased appetite or sluggishness, are NOT in any way curable by some
of the chemicals found naturally in chocolate, particularly dark chocolate,
such as caffiene and theobromine.

Absolutely not in any way whatsoever.

And thats all we have today from our very own Mr. (arch)Wizard. First a
word from our sponsors Hershey's, Godiva, Lindt, and Ghirardelli, then back
to our program "Julia Child: Julia bakes with chocolate"

Hershey's is crap. Sorry, but it's true.

Earth day was moved from 20.4 to 22.4 due to the association with pot and
Hitler. Just so you know...
