Every Christmas it seems like I hear people complaining about the 'Christmas
Glow' items that Santa sometimes hands out. I think in this case, it's just a
matter of people forgetting about or having missed an original post made by
Era back in 2007.

To summarize, the Christmas Glow was added in addition to all of the gifts
available in the previous years. If you got a Christmas Glow item, it isn't
because you might have otherwise gotten some Skysplitter or other nice thing,
but instead got this 'crappy' Christmas Glowing item.. you missed the dice on
your nice item and you were about to get a bottle of wine or jingly hat.. and
got lucky and got a temp glow item. If you hate them, just try to imagine
that it's a bottle of wine and drop it next to Santa.
