Luck is a newbie stat, and i feel very newbie when my maxed spells fail 40% of
the time, either add a luck boon or some way to affect luck.

No way. Luck is not just a newbie stat. It's the stat that ensures that
there's no free lunch on bat, and it should affect newbies and higbies
alike. There are ways of affecting your luck to some degree, the fact that
you don't know about them surely points to the fact that you're not really
a highbie :)
