I for one does not agree that it would be a good idea to change Bat more and
more towards a game where the "effort" counts. One of the things i like alot
about this game is that you can get somewhere using different methods or
skills. Not only the skill in actual gameplaying counts.
I for one has accomplished most of my "success", not during hardcore gaming
and figuring the nifty stuff of the game out by myself, but by getting good
friends and a reputation as a nice and fair player. Thats a different kind of
effort, but it defenitely takes time and some sort of skill to establish a
large number of good contacts and friends.
Ruthlessly slaughtering moneymobs for hours and hours w/o loosing interest in
the game is some sort of skill, or at least ability, also. To this point i
have appreciated that the game itself does not decide what kind of
playerskills is valued more than the other.
I hope it remains that way in some sense.
