I don't know since I haven't been and prolly will never be a wizard by my
self, but I have my doubts for these tunes that are made in a certain way.
With this I mean the way that some dramatic change is made and for me (again
I'm clueless) it seems that it is made more or less about thinking to what
things it actually does affect.
After this is being done the whine starts. After few days of whines few
duct-tape fixes are made and its all good. By time there prolly will be more
of these small fixes.
Lately there has been 2 major changes and the dust haven't settled in either
of those. I don't know are those good or bad tunes, but the way they are
forced in to the game really makes one think if they are that well thought
over in the first place.
Prolly that was all, over and out.
Oh well, while I'm writing I could once again ask to remove hpcap from nomad
background but suppose that is not going to happen either. Oh, and good luck
with channellers.

Well as a general rule if no player whines about anything
nothing will get tuned it seems. After all it wasent wizies
who said the sp toy's were out of tune, that is just one
scenario. Seems admins rely mostly on the news for their
feedback and judgement for tune implication, not actual
statistics or logs from the game. Reason why im replying to
this post and not letting this stand on its own is that:
If you want nomad hp cap to be removed you shouldnt ask for
it to be removed, you should whine about how nomads cant
compete with hybrids. Whines make tunes and alter tunes in
this game and its been proven. Classic example way back when
90->100% skill spell cost tune was introduced and kbooks
were selling for 150k+ Qurp made one whine, next day
Favorit tuned the books and his only comment was "tuned I guess"
Bat-engine runs on whine power.

You actually made two distinct but related points. First it is true, that bat
engine runs on whine power (for better or worse). That point was clear.
Second point is that some people's "whines" carry more weight than others.
Qurp could probably whine any one particular major game system in batmud
should be outright removed and that whine would have a decent chance of
happening. But then, he's earned a rep for making good "whines" over the
years (or at least a lot of wizards seem to believe that, myself includig).

And then sometimes tunes/changes are made due to some hard stats sure it
happens, or it had to of happened at least once I bet. Don't fuck with the
system! :)
