Why do some people have triggers which constantly report their stats to the
party channel during a fight?

Before you answer too fast, the obvious answer is actually not quite valid:
AFAIK the only people in a party who need to know the stats of the members are
the healer(s) and the party leader. For the healer (I am one) it's certainly
not a problem to write 'pss' to get a quick overview of people's health. As a
healer I have learned quite well to constantly monitor people's health with
'pss'. In fact, if someone constantly reports his stats to the party channel,
it's (at least to me) more distracting than helpful. I have the party channel
highlighted (as everyone should in order to not miss important messages), and
a constant flood of useless stats to it is quite distracting. It constantly
takes my attention away from the really important thing (ie. the output of
'pss') and it makes hard to concentrate. Perhaps it's just me, but it's more
difficult for me to perform healer duties during a battle if the party channel
is being flooded by useless stat reports.

Note that I'm not complaining about triggers which report the stats when they
go dangerously low (eg. because of a crit or whatever). Those happen rarely,
and in fact may truely be useful. They can be classified as important info.
What I am complaining about, however, is the constant useless reporting.

The reporting doesn't make sense for two reasons: 1) Whoever needs that info
can quickly get it with 'pss' (and reading the output of 'pss' is easier with
pratice). 2) It doesn't make sense that only *some* members report constantly
while others don't. It's not helpful. The healer, and probably also the leader
can't make decisions based only on those reports, but they have to see
everyone's health (which is exactly what 'pss' gives).

I have to admit that I have almost zero partyleader experience. However, I'm
pretty sure that someone continuously flooding the party channel with their
stats is exactly as useless as for a healer.

In fact, I have seen some people continuously reporting their stats even when
their hp doesn't change! If anything, *that* doesn't make any sense.

If your hp goes dangerously low, then yes. Continuous reporting no! It's very
distracting and can only disturb the healer's concentration, and it's
completely useless. So will you people PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE turn those damn
things off?
