Argument One: This is just a game: Last time i fingered Zenick, he had 3 years
of game time. _3 YEARS_. So maybe over 10% of his real life hes spent logged
in here playing! And theres LOTS and LOTS of others who are like that; Point
of fact is that saying \"this is just a game\" does not sum up at
all what this game is like. Yes it is a game, but it is a game which has, to
some extent, become a way of life for very many people... a beloved
institution that for whatever reason people keep on coming back to. Thus
saying this is \"just a game\" is a stupid thing to say.

Argument two: The Mud is less challenging than it used to be, whine whine, you
are all whiners whine whine. I find it ironic that the players who whine about
the game not being challenged enuff are those that have given up playing it.
If anyone has some mental ability to claim that he has \"done
everything\" it would be qurp and even he admits that there is a TON of
stuff that he has not done, or seen , or figured out. As far as \"fuck
you up\" events, and \"no ban pkilling\" those things may have
made the game more challenging for new players but the question you need to
ask is, did these things actually make the game better? Challenging is not
good always. Sure its good for the players who run the game, from the top
dogs. They don\'t suffer. But think whether its good for the mud in general,
for making players continue to come back here and invest their time.

In fact its not. And that much is obvious. The game needs more CONSTRUCTIVE
challenges, ie, more stuff to figure out, more tricky AI on mobs and EQ mobs,
etc, we dont need more frustrations and aggravations like these events.

This is still a game, nothing more even what significanse you give to this.
Well, this might be just a game for you, but for me it is. Game which has
lost its most valuable asset, playability.

Two months of active participating and one eq party, no thank you.
Thanks for all memorable fellows, it was fun while it lasted.

And yes, Id really want to sell my char, havent I earned atleast that much
these 12 years?

Arguing about if this is just a game or not is pointless. For others it is,
for others it\'s not. It\'s all subjective. You might just log on for an hour
per
day to play, friends online are just what they are, lines of text on your
screen. Or this could be a place where you come to not just play, but
be with your friends, hang out with people who share the same interest,
a hobby, people whose faces you\'ve maybe seen in real life too.
Personally, I\'d probably be in a totally different place in my life if I never
had
started playing.. I mean that in a good way, so to meit is a little bit more
significant than \"just a game\".

It\'s easier to blame everything and everyone else around you first.
If you\'re not getting eq parties, what could you do differently? Make
yourself
useful, being in a suitable reinc? Asking for certain parties for eq you
need?
With the current eq SS system, problems are too few leaders and too many
eager players waiting in line to parties. Helps to know what you want/need
and be willing to pay for it too.

Too bad you\'re gone. You\'re a friend and I\'ll miss you.
