This is a good example for bad informing:

I did some in-game stuff from yesterday boot (killed one eq-mob, did some exp,
reaver energy etc.) before the informed maintenance break.
I logged off before the actual maintenance boot and did not log on again
yesterday.

Today morning when I logged in again, I've had an offline-tell concerning the
eq we made yesterday, that it doesnt exist no more. Quick peek to exp worth
and reaver energy level show'd me that there has been a restore of some sort.
The fresh eq was gone too.

What I wanted to find next was somekind of a global inform about what has
happened. I searched the news, checked inform last and even peaked last 40
lines of bat channel - Nothing.

Even a normal inform message would have been great after a remarkable thing as
a backup restore. It's not so nice to ask around from other
clueless mortals who have done the thinking by themself, or seen a shout or
discussion on some channel right after the event.

I did actually see an inform about this, before and after.. However, the person
who did the inform did not notice that his inform was gone with the restore :D

But you have a point. I\'ve been slightly disappointed with the information
flow myself.
