Just wanted to remind our admins about an age-old rule of game design:
!!! No permanent items or bonuses from one-shot events. !!!
Super simple. We've just had, once again, the Halloween and Steam
events wreak havoc on player and eq balance. I'm hoping any upcoming
events wouldn't do the same. Seriously, the game is 30 years old and we
are still discussing this? It's unmotivating for old players and totally
unfair for new ones.
Just to be clear: this wasn't a criticism on gala/wiz auctions, since they
benefit the whole community. Most of the time.
