Why don't you just ask that chests saves stuff even when they're open. And
while you are at it, ask that all stuff on inventory saves too without the
help of gnomes. Heck, while you're at it, ask that all stuff scattered over
the lands of BatMUD will save automagically. Uh oh better yet, ask some cuddly
archwizard to slay armageddon for good!

Geez, when you guys learn how to handle your precious eq with your own hands
and brains?

In the good old days they had to, cause there were no-reimburse crashes and
worn eq wasn't saved. The more flower this gets, the more they demand. Expect
them to become even more handless, if that's possible :)
