Democracy in Finland: The Intopii computer firm of Helsinki announced in
February that it has installed software to assist voters, who, studies
suggest, tend to select candidates who look like themselves. When a voter
uploads his or her photo, the Web site will use facial-recognition software to
find those among the 800 candidates in March parliamentary elections who most
resemble that voter, to ease the difficult burden of citizenship in a
democracy. [Reuters, 2-27-07]

Using it to find someone who looks like you is one thing, but I wanted to vote
for the guy who looks most like David Hasselhoff. Now who wouldn't want to
vote for the guy who most resembles the Hoff? This was a leap forward in
democracy!

Nowadays we have the technology to perform plastic surgeries. There are
skilled surgeons who will be more than willing to make you look like David
Hasselhoff and if and when you look like the Hoff, you can use the facial
recognition to identify the person who most resembles you. Or then you perhaps
could just submit Hasselhoff's picture there...Maybe I didn't think this
before posting, but it's Friday and I'm a bit drunkm, so, who cares?
Ps. Insert my <number of your choice> cents here.
