As I was paying attention to one of my lectures today it suddenly and without
warning surprised me. Few more, even cooler, ideas about ship events!!!
Yummy sails!!!
Horde of moths have invaded all five continents. And believe it or not, they
are hungry, hungry for clothes! They move around in big swarms and usually
attack agains ships!!! They eat sails and crew clothes making for example lift
magis unable to act!!! As navigator is covering his/her private parts the ship
crashes and explodes!!! And ofcourse is lost permanently. As a bonus moths
would eat all equipment the ship owner has that is made of cloth!
Nasty mutant termites!!!!
These nasty termites hang around public harbours, hiding and waiting to take
over a careless ship! They'll eat the ship and the docks and whatnot and
ofcourse this causes your ship to sink. Once again needless to say that after
termites has fested with your ship you have like only nails left. Too bad
these mutant termites usually eat nails for dessert!!!
Thar she blows - travel in one direction is trippled, but halved in others,
also ships take damage quicker.
Moby dick - Talk to the old sailors in each of the ferry ports to get a rough
location of this imfamous whale. Once you find it, do what any good badmudder
would do and kill the blighter (note: Moby is very good at sinking ships).

I think it was either 1 or 2 years ago, today that some wiz posted that ducks
would start to have "migration" modifiers to movement...in winter, movement
towards the south would be halved, but towards the north doubled...and in the
summer, the opposite...reminded me of your "Thar she blows" idea...

Just as a side note: there already is "Moby Dick" lurking somewhere, though
I'm not sure if anyone has ever found him
But yeah, I think he is very good at least eating mariners, dunno what he does
to ships
Sorry there's a typo and bad grammar somewhere but can't fixit!
