One last point: You seem to be trying to make the case that saddam and his
sunni afiliation acts as a moderating force in Iraq and the Middle-east
conflict. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yes, Saddam is not
religious, nor does he really give a fuck about the palestinians or any other
muslim group. However, he uses religion as a tool to inflame the region. It
is almost funny to see this mass murderer who is a socialist to boot, talking
on arab national TV and praising allah and calling on muslims to unite against
the infidel when he himself has killed far far more muslims than the US and is
in fact constantly repressing free religious expression in his own country.
This is the same man that pays 10,000 dollars to the families of every
suicide bomber. Yes, a whole lot of stability this guy provides.
