I'll have to disagree with you Blayke. First of all, the europeans have much
more open minds about a load of things when compared to Americans. I speak
from experience, I have lived for quite some time in the States and in Canada.
Secondly, you're frothing at the mouth about someone calling americans
brainwashed. I'm very sorry if you'll be offended (again), but a large
percentage of americans really don't care about anything else except their
back yard, and it is (apparently) very easy to induce them to do anything
their government wants without really trying to convince them by facts. Many
of you are so puffed up by their false patriotism that they cannot see the
realities of your government's policies, which are quite obvious to the rest
of the world. And in addition to it all, you are being so very hypocritic
about the whole affair, attempting to disguise another act of war as a
charity. If that is the only thing your moralists are capable of, then I
sincerely pity you. And if all the philosophers you mentioned just sing along
to your government's tune, I am sure it is _you_ who need more perspective,
and not we europeans. Oh, and one other thing: you are calling for 'PROOF'
without giving any yourself. Is that a sign of growing up, or is that perhaps
a sign of early dementia? I am inclined to think of the latter, since you
cannot even keep your tone civil enough for a 'grown-up' american.
