The reason why the usa is about to invade iraq is simple. At the end of the
gulf war, we agreed to stop attacking iraq, and in return for the end of
hostilities, they agreed to disarm.

It was at this time that iraq made a list of all of it's weapons, including
wmd.

The first resolution was passed, stating that the end of hostilities had been
accepted and a time table for weapons inspections was arranged to destroy the
weapons that Iraq told the UN that it had.

Iraq capitulated and refused to give proof that the weapons that it had
already said it had, were destroyed, burned, removed, or buried. They simply
said "we dont have those weapons, we have no proof of this, just believe us,
they're gone". This was obviously not acceptable. Weapons dont just evaporate.
There was no evidence given of their destruction or removal at all. Iraq then
claimed that the usa and the UN lied about Iraq's resolution.

19 resolutions, all essentially stating "prove that you have no WMD or have
destroyed such weapons, or the UN and the usa will resume the hostilities that
we have refrained from shall continue. 19 times, over 12 years Iraq has been
given a peaceful solution. 19 times they have capitulated, stalled, and
outright lied to avoid the peaceful solution to war.

France is owed 6 billion from Iraq. Iraq has told france that if it wants to
get that money back, that france has to stop the impending war. This is why
france is against any hostilities. I have read the 19 resolutions as of today,
each of them gives Iraq one more peaceful opportunity to avoid war, all it has
to do is show the areas that once contained weapons, or give some evidence
that it's destroyed the weapons that Iraq itself has told the world that it
once had. It is up to Iraq to prove itself, and given that they are not living
up to thier side of the treaty, then the UN and the usa have no choice but to
resume hostilities. How many times would you expect to get warned "dont robot
torch creation" before you expect to get banned, surely it's a few less than
19x.
