I think there is a difference in showing pictures of soldiers captuuring POWs
and showing wounded soldiers being interrogated as well as dead soldiers who
appear to have been executed.

Could be that it's different, but the Geneva Convention applies to both cases.
As stated in the Geneva Convention (of 1949), Article 13:
"Likewise, prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly
against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public
curiosity."
