The following is an excerpt of a party i was in... It sorta sums up one of the
problems with the mud today i think...

Namelesshighbie (party): So someone elighten me so we can kill stuff.
Ewige (party): how did you get enough xp to rebirth?
Namelesshighbie (party): Me?
Ewige (party): i'm really really really confused how you got 150m xp and don't
know where eq is.
Namelesshighbie (party): Tiger
Namelesshighbie (party): Then tigerspider
Ewige (party): and?
Ewige (party): what? you only killed bunnies?
Namelesshighbie (party): Yes.
Ewige (party): you one of those eowyn people?
Namelesshighbie (party): No.
Namelesshighbie (party): I was a duz person.
Ewige (party): ah.

Maybe i'm the only one who thinks it was impossible to get xp 5 years ago
without having to learn something.. i dunno...

In finland we have this old saying "perslihaksilla se expa tehdään" which
translates as "you make your exp with your ass cheeks".
i.e. less skill -> more time spent sitting in front of comp...
1k rate gives you about a meg in a day if you sleep 8 hrs and play 16. So you
can rebirth in approximately half a year with absolutely no skill.
