Okie it has been so long since conversion that it seems the wizards are
worried about all the excess of equipment out there. Excess eq is not the
problem, what is the problem is when that eq is sold/given to lowbies and they
are made out of tune. My opinion is that batmud is at its coolest point ever
in number of guilds, areas, options, etc, but its at its very lamest for eq.
Monsters are FAR out of tune in relation to players , and the idea is that you
should fail a monster 10 times just to suceed once. At this moment we have
about 9 ro 10 top finnish/swedish players making all the top lvl eq in the
game. Does anyone but me see a problem in this? Not to knock those guys,
many of them are my friends and they all are good players, but seriously , it
should be within the reach of EVERY player to make his own goddamn eq. THAT
is the point of batmud, pull yourself up to highbiehood by exploring, learning
areas, and amasing friends and eq. BUT WE CANT DO THAT. Ive lost a ton of eq
in the past year due to crashes. Ive tried to make that eq back but it has
been simply impossible. I dont have the time to play at a maniac pace, and
when you fail 9/10 eq parties then simplely doesnt make playing this game
worth my while. Id rather play ever quest. If lower lvl players having out
of bounds eq is the problem then quite simply we need to go to a no-drop eq
system like everquest or make all eq personalized like the ackbar quest. This
is the only option besides desting most eq and starting from scratch. I know
this option has its problems but its better than the alternative.
