If thieves were opened, they should mainly be a combat oriented guild,
otherwise they add nothing and detract something from the game. If the ability
to steal were allowed, it should be heavily limited.
- idle players should be immune
- named eq should be immune
- un-rebirthed players under 200M should be immune
- merchants should be immune (unless recently in combat)
What Blayke and Beliar said in their posts should be implemented, adding a
stealth element to the game.
Guess the point 'being a thief' kinda shatters if you limit the steal skill.
Like 'you can steal only from weak old lady in the back alley of Arelium, at
midnight, when the moon's not shining, while you are not wearing any bright
colours.. ofcourse you must have certain str and dex.. str for not being
whacked with the grandma's purse... etc.
Guess this conversation about thiefs and stuff can quit.. if you want sneak
guild - add something to boring one-spell-guild tigers, but stealing is way
too boring in the limits they suggest and way too powerful in full power.
