Yeah, its annoying event, "right". I've killed this new eater in mage reinc
with fairly crappy members in less than 30mins yea, tanks were some midbies
and healers weren't that good either but it still died without too much of an
effort, so get your hands outta your pants and just do it.

This is a reply to amd and the other highbies who seem to have missed my point
in my post. Hey guess what? I think ive killed magic eater a FEW more times
than you so no exactly what it takes to beat it. I know that you can beat it
with a crappy group and it doesnt take long, 30=45 mins to beat. My points
are this: 1, i log on for an hr to kill and say hey lets play batmud, ....half
way through that magic eater is run, let me ask you is it really worthit for
MOST casual players to travel all the way to where magic eater is, go through
the painful 30 - hr it takes to kill, possibly dying to a 1k damage round, or
should we just log off. Seriously, i find it funny that the players who
responded were all HIGHBIES who have never had much trouble finding people or
killing big mobs.

In short, heres the deal: make events so they dont totally fuck gameplay for
30mins to an hr(ie robin etc). That way people who are the power hungry fucks
who want the uber the eq can go kill the event and the others just have the
minor inconvenience to change continents.

I dunno... I replied to bs about this, and I do not know if I would be
considered a 'highbie' (i do not think so, personally). In my post, I
mentioned that being a reaver-priest, a lot of my stuff is based in sps, and
it did not affect me very much. A mild inconvience at best. I mean, if you
are only killing an hour or so, then you dont need to minmax everything... at
least thats my opinion. At most maybe I had to regen 2 extra times killing
the kaveril elder or whatnot.

Amd's points are fair, but it's not the only thing that messes up casual
gaming. Hell, someone mid-reinc could login with 40megs of safe exp on and
find that some group of highbie dicks had killed Mithrandir. Yay, that person
had a couple of hours free to mud, finish his reinc etc. If you're going to
get pissy about events messing up your game play, then don't screw other
people's by killing thier GM.
