Instead of:
Work suspended due to a shortage of wood.
Sail home, collect wood, sail back, deposit, continue.
Work suspended due to a shortage of mahogany.
Sail home, collect mahogany, sail back, deposit, continue.
Work suspended due to a shortage of brass.
etc

Could we have:
Work suspended due to a shortage of wood, mahogany, brass.

and maybe even:
The shipyard foreman tells you 'we will soon run out of mallorn, ma'am.'

I don't mean to be mean or nasty but thats probably the dumbest way you can do
that. There is a nice command called 'job info <jobname>' that works quite
nicely from inside the shipyard. Shows how many credits, materials, items are
needed, etc. The rest of us just get all the mats ready for one job then do
the job, that way you can just chill out in the shipyard and chain create
money or make reagents. To make it even easier, Melemkor makes the items in
question turn green on the info if you have enough to do the job in question.
Neato!

Of course, there is that mystical "update" command which will tell you in
mid-job how much you still need given the materials that have already been
used...as Tarken pointed out, it does show if there will be a shortage.
