treat the newbie merchants like shit? When i read merchant channel, i see
newbies asking questions and all the highbie merchants going 'pay me 10k per
answer, fuck you try it yourself, stupid newbies' then you want them to play
by your rules? What do you expect. Hmm, I can either say fuck the guy who is
mean to me and make monmey for me, or do what the rude assholes say so they
can make money. Not much of a decision. Perhaps if you want newbie merchants
to follow your rules, show some kindness and lead by example.
Hmmm....lets see, we have newbies who ask questions as stupid as:
"Where do I train?" - did you even bother to look at the guild help files?
"What kind of chest can I make with 56% skill and good refined wood?" - Do you
think someone keeps a list of these wierd combos? Do you think we have access
to the formulas? Maybe a wizard on the payroll?
Then, when someone (Dryad) is nice enough to provide a resource with a
veritable host of useful information for newbie, what happens? Those same
newbies use the free information to basically destroy the market for merchant
services. Damn, that really make me want to be helpful to newbies.
Lastly, I really take issue with your assertion that somehow the suggestion of
minimum prices is purely designed to benefit those of us with more experience
in the guild. How ludicrous. Shit, if it comes down to an all out price war,
just who do you think is going to win? The highbies with skills, experience
and millions of gold or the lowbies? Frankly, I am tired of trying to be
helpful and seeing my help thrown in my face by players that frankly are too
impatient to even bother to appreciate how this guild works best. I have
almost come to believe that Dethwishh might have had the right approach to
dealing with these players....
